The Sr. Manager of Global Cybersecurity Services Portfolio is responsible for developing and maintaining all PMO processes including our project management lifecycle, intake process, audit processes, resource management processes, project stage gates, handover or transition processes, and any other processes deemed necessary to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality project management services. 

This position will be responsible for managing PMO personnel, including a high volume of contractors who report directly to this role but receive assignments from our security domain leaders. This includes performing interviews, hiring, onboarding, termination, coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, and problem solving. This role will participate in periodic evaluation for the purpose of redeveloping of our operating model to ensure continuous improvement.

This position will function as a conduit to update Sr. Leadership within GCS as well as Carnival Corporation executives and GCS Stakeholders. This role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a series of portfolio dashboards and portfolio meetings, as well as any systems or tools required to ensure consistency of data and high-quality delivery across our portfolio.

This position will ensure consistency in the data within our portfolio as well as timeliness of health and status reporting by maintaining an audit process and holding project managers accountable for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of updates.

This position is required to establish a collaborative framework that partners closely with key stakeholders to drive security and compliance solutions across Carnival Corporation.  Additionally, this position has overall accountability for the global portfolio management and budgeting of capital initiatives across GCS. 

This position provides direct support to the CISO and GISCS Leaders with the goal to improve the quality and timeliness of delivering transformational programs.  This position is directly involved in implementing solutions and contributing to process improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • PMO Management – Responsible for upkeep for our GCS PMO. Includes all routine maintenance tasks (people, process, and technology related) to support our PMO. Some examples of this include: Managing PMO Resources, Managing contracts and credentials for contingent workers, Managing access to PMO tools, PMO timesheet approvals, resource request reviews, general PMO support, PMO system, tool, and report maintenance, support for capital planning, pro-active risk management, and project-related financial reviews
  • PMO Transformation – Co-create and execute transformational initiatives in the GCS PMO space. Support leadership in developing, upgrading, or improving prioritization model, PMLC, internal PMO processes, PMO operating model, PMO dashboards, quality improvement initiatives, resource management capabilities, ppm tools and all other related processes and technologies in support of the PMO.
  • Portfolio Management – Responsible for accuracy and completeness of portfolio data from idea through to transition to run. Responsible for maintaining materials used to train staff responsible for upkeep of portfolio data. Maintains audit procedures required to validate accuracy and completeness. Maintains a catalog of training and job aids related to portfolio management systems and tools. Ensures consistent treatment of projects and adherence to our PMLC across different pillars to consistent outcomes and ensure high quality project delivery.
  • Financial Management – Participates in annual financial planning process. Assists by collecting and aggregating idea/submissions which form the basis for our annual capital planning process. Support the backlog of ideas and maintain accurate and complete financial records as they make their way through our project management lifecycle and become projects. Provides CapEx support to GCS leaders for Capital Allocation Requests (CARs) submissions and expense tracking and project chargebacks. 
  • Communication and Transparency – As needed, leads large, complex, risky and/or political programs.  Ensures success through excellent project management, teamwork and collaboration, prioritization and creative problem solving, risk mitigation, resource planning, and communication.  Conducts executive project reviews with IT Executives and Business Leaders. 

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree a plus
  • Discipline/Major:  An undergraduate degree in Business or Project Management is required. An advance degree is highly desirable, particularly an MBA.
  • Required Certifications:  Formal training in project management is required. Candidate must have earned at last one of the following:  PMP, Six Sigma, or Scrum Master certifications.  Technical or cybersecurity certification is a plus.
  • Required Years and Area of Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years managing projects with 5 years in a PMO lead or Portfolio manager capacity managing cross functional teams. Experience leading global teams a plus. Background in the Cybersecurity, IT, or Cruise Industry will be considered a big plus
  • Critical/Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills:  Solid understanding of PMO and IT Operations • Expert level presentation skills • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.  • Experience with Creating and Implementing Department Processes and Procedures. • Prior experience with Organizational Change Management as it relates to supporting technology projects and processes. • Experience with portfolio financial planning and accounting   • Experience with the RFP process, vendor contracts and vendor management.  • Experience managing a large a geographically dispersed team of global resources • Experience operating as a shared service entity is a plus
  • Other Requirements:  Excellent verbal and written communications in U.S. English. • Global perspective -- accustomed to doing business around the world and comfortable working with professionals with diverse cultural backgrounds. • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, including remotely or on ships

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • IT leader with strategic and operational expertise.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, facilitation and consensus building skills. 
  • Ability to obtain cooperation and build trust with peers and at the executive level across all brands.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with business leadership, management & peers.
  • Must possess the skills to successfully navigate the politics of a large organization. 
  • Strong experience in technology planning, project planning, team leadership, as well as establishing and managing service measures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong background and experience in IT technologies and managing implementations.
  • Experience supporting the whole lifecycle of applications development and implementation as well as operations support. 
  • Experience developing budgets, managing expenses and creating accurate forecasts. 
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations that are informative and engaging and deliver them to various audiences including executive management. 
  • Experience leading a team of project managers and a large portfolio of projects.
  • Ability to review vendors' statements of work for completeness and relevance.
  • Ability to manage vendors in the execution of their statement of work and holding them accountable, anticipating/escalating if gaps or issues.

Decision Making:

  • Operational:  Decisions focus on day-to-day activities within the company. Decisions made at this level help to ensure that daily activities proceed smoothly and therefore help to move the company toward reaching a strategic goal. They have short term consequences. Examples are: Handling employee conflicts, purchasing materials needed for operations.

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended period of time. 

Travel: No or very little travel likely

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday.  Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
