The Specialist, Social Media & Graphic Design is responsible for growing and elevating Carnival Cruise Line's trade social media presence across Carnival-owned channels, travel advisor communities, and partner social platforms. As the primary owner of Carnival's Trade Facebook Page, dedicated Travel Advisor Facebook Group, and other trade-facing social channels, this role develops content that informs, engages, and connects with travel advisors while supporting brand announcements, promotions, events, and key trade marketing initiatives. This position owns the trade social media content calendar from planning through execution, identifying content opportunities, creating compelling social content, actively participating in advisor and partner communities, and driving audience growth through both organic and paid social media efforts. Working closely with Trade Marketing leadership, Consumer Marketing, Brand, Creative Services, Sales, Public Relations, and other cross-functional stakeholders, the role helps ensure a consistent and authentic voice while maintaining alignment with Carnival's broader brand campaigns, messaging priorities, and visual standards. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the travel advisor community and a passion for delivering an engaging and responsive social experience. The position actively interacts with advisors across social platforms, responds promptly to questions and inquiries, and serves as a trusted resource for the community. Strong judgment, proactive thinking, excellent time management, and the ability to anticipate needs and act quickly are essential. Through ongoing analysis of audience feedback, performance metrics, and social media trends, the role continuously identifies opportunities to strengthen relationships, grow audiences, and enhance engagement.

In addition to social media responsibilities, this role serves as a Graphic Designer and creative resource for the Trade Marketing Creative Services team, designing and developing a wide range of marketing assets including social media content, digital advertising, presentations, sales materials, event collateral, email campaigns, and partner marketing communications. A strong portfolio and demonstrated expertise in graphic design and social media campaign management are essential. The ideal candidate is creative, passionate, highly collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

B2B Trade Social Media Strategy & Content Development    

  • Own the trade social media content calendar from planning through execution, identifying content opportunities and developing engaging content that supports brand announcements, promotions, events, and key trade marketing initiatives. Create, schedule, publish, and optimize content across Carnival-owned trade social channels. Monitor content performance and social media trends to continuously improve audience growth, engagement, and overall channel effectiveness. Manage and optimize paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, creative development, performance tracking, and reporting to maximize reach and engagement.     

Community Management & Advisor Engagement 

  • Manage the day-to-day engagement across Carnival's Trade Facebook Page, dedicated Travel Advisor Facebook Group, and other travel advisor and partner social communities. Actively interact with travel advisors by responding to questions, providing timely and accurate information, facilitating conversations, and fostering a positive and engaging community experience. Monitor discussions, identify opportunities for engagement, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and address travel advisor needs. Develop strong working relationships across Sales, Public Relations, Marketing, and other business areas to ensure advisor inquiries are resolved quickly and accurately. Exercise sound judgment, proactive thinking, and strong time management while serving as a trusted resource for the travel advisor community.

Paid Social Media Advertising & Analytics  

  • Develop, execute, and monitor paid social media campaigns supporting Trade Marketing objectives. Analyze campaign and audience performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and provide reporting and recommendations to improve effectiveness and return on investment.

Graphic Design & Creative Content Development

  • Concept, design, and execute a wide range of trade marketing materials across digital and print channels, including social media content, email campaigns, digital advertising, sales and promotional materials, presentations, event collateral, and partner marketing communications. Serve as a creative resource and brand champion for the Trade Marketing team, bringing fresh ideas, strong visual storytelling, and thoughtful design solutions to a variety of initiatives. Translate marketing priorities and business needs into engaging content that resonates with travel advisors while ensuring all materials align with Carnival's brand standards and visual identity. Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other creative tools to deliver high-quality work from concept through final execution. Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and project management while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Scope: managing Carnival Cruise Line's trade social media presence across Carnival-owned channels, travel advisor communities, and partner social platforms. Scope includes social media content planning, community management, paid social media execution, performance reporting, and audience growth initiatives that support Trade Marketing objectives. Serves as a Graphic Designer and creative resource for the Trade Marketing team, developing digital and print marketing assets that support promotions, events, communications, social media campaigns, and travel partner programs. Independently manages multiple projects and priorities while ensuring high-quality, brand-aligned content and creative execution.

  • Problem Solving: multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Evaluates information from a variety of stakeholders to determine the most effective approach to content development, community engagement, and creative execution. Exercises sound judgment when responding to travel advisor inquiries, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to improve content performance and audience engagement. Adapts quickly to changing business needs, feedback, and emerging social media trends.

  • Impact: to the growth, engagement, and overall effectiveness of Carnival's trade social media presence by creating compelling content, building online communities, and fostering meaningful connections with travel advisors. Helps strengthen advisor advocacy and engagement through timely communication, responsive community management, and ongoing optimization of social media content and campaigns. Contributes to Trade Marketing objectives through the development and execution of creative, brand-aligned marketing materials that support promotions, events, communications, and travel partner initiatives. Brings creativity, design expertise, and strong attention to detail to develop visually compelling content that enhances the travel advisor experience, drives engagement, and reinforces Carnival's brand across all trade-facing channels.

Essential/Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising, Digital Media, Web Development, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management, community management, graphic design, digital marketing, or a related marketing role.

  • Experience developing and executing social media content strategies, including content planning, editorial calendar management, audience engagement, and community growth across multiple social media platforms.

  • Experience managing paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, optimization, performance tracking, analytics, and reporting.

  • Proven ability to build online communities, drive engagement, and leverage performance insights to optimize content and campaign effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated expertise in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing concept development, visual storytelling, and the creation of social, digital, and print marketing materials.

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with experience concepting, designing, and producing a variety of marketing assets including social media content, email campaigns, digital advertising, presentations, sales materials, event collateral, and partner marketing communications.

  • Proven ability to interpret and apply brand standards while maintaining a consistent brand identity across social media, digital, print, and partner marketing communications.

  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana to coordinate workflows, manage priorities, and collaborate across cross-functional teams preferred. Knowledge of Salesforce and basic HTML is a plus.

  • Proven written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong judgment, responsiveness, and the ability to serve as a trusted resource within online communities and social media channels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Cruise, travel, hospitality, or related industry experience preferred but not required.

Essential Experience Required:

  • The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of experience in social media management, community engagement, content creation, and graphic design, preferably gained within an advertising agency, in-house creative team, or other fast-paced marketing environment. They have a proven track record of building audiences, driving engagement, creating compelling content across digital channels, and managing multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating across diverse stakeholders.This individual demonstrates strong social media expertise, including content planning, community management, paid social advertising, and performance analysis. They possess a deep understanding of audience engagement strategies and are experienced in developing content that fosters meaningful interactions, strengthens online communities, and supports broader business objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.The candidate is also an experienced graphic designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, visual storytelling, and the ability to translate business objectives into engaging digital and print marketing materials. They are highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have experience concepting, designing, and executing a wide range of creative assets, including social media content, digital advertising, email campaigns, presentations, event collateral, and partner marketing communications. This individual is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness, collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail are critical. They are comfortable working across functional teams to gather information, support advisor needs, and deliver timely, accurate, and brand-aligned communications. Experience in the cruise, travel, hospitality, or broader B2B marketing industry is preferred but not required.

Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Physical Demands:. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. 

Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
