The SAP Fieldglass System Administrator at Carnival Corporation will serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries and requests related to the Vendor Management System. This role involves understanding business needs and developing innovative solutions. A strong background in process improvement is essential, as the administrator will analyze and measure the effectiveness of current business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements.

The SAP Fieldglass System Administrator will collaborate closely with other IT streams and functional business clients to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the SAP Fieldglass system, enhance user experience, and support strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in SAP Fieldglass administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.

Essential Functions:

  • 4-year degree in related field, preferably in a business or technical discipline
  • Proficient in SAP Fieldglass Contingent Labor, SOW, and Worker Tracking Modules
  • At least 5 years of relevant system administration experience
  • Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from multi-faceted and often ambiguous data
  • Experience eliciting and documenting user requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in O365 Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight
  • Detail oriented and critical thinker
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises
  • Effectiveness in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical skills: ability to research and make efficient use of resources to achieve effective business results
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to transfer lessons learned into new processes

Qualifications: 

  • 4-year degree in related field, preferably in a business or technical discipline
  • Proficient in SAP Fieldglass Contingent Labor, SOW, and Worker Tracking Modules
  • At least 5 years of relevant system administration experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and proactively support business needs.
  • SQL experience (preferred)
  • Certification: SAP Fieldglass certification. (preferred)

  • Scope:
    • The SAP Fieldglass System Administrator at Carnival Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of the Vendor Management System (VMS). This role is integral to various business units, impacting multiple areas within the organization. The administrator will work closely with IT streams and functional business clients to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the SAP Fieldglass system.
    • The ideal candidate should have a background in SAP Fieldglass or systems thinking. Key responsibilities include:
    • Configuring approval workflows in SAP Fieldglass.
    • Managing and monitoring integrations in and out of SAP Fieldglass.
    • Performing detailed-oriented reporting out of SAP Fieldglass (GUI-based).
    • Conducting system testing and documenting business requirements.
    • Handling incident management.
    • Collaborating with the SAP Customer Success Manager (CSM) and technical team.
    • By developing innovative solutions and improving business processes, the administrator will significantly contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Problem solving:
    • The SAP Fieldglass System Administrator is expected to tackle complex problems that require in-depth analysis and creative solutions. This includes analyzing current business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and developing sustainable improvements. The role involves anticipating challenges that may impact the business and proactively addressing them. The administrator must be adept at handling ambiguous data, conducting thorough research, and making informed decisions to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Impact:
    • The SAP Fieldglass System Administrator will have a broad impact across the organization. By ensuring the VMS operates efficiently and meets business requirements, the administrator will contribute to setting standards for system performance and user satisfaction. The role will influence various business processes, from vendor management to data analysis and reporting, ultimately supporting strategic business initiatives and enhancing overall operational effectiveness.

    • While the SAP Fieldglass System Administrator may not have direct reports, the role requires strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and projects. The administrator will need to motivate team members and stakeholders to meet established deadlines and ensure successful project outcomes. Effective leadership in this role involves coordinating resources, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration across different departments to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge:  Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: No or very little travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
