Responsibilities
Job Description
The Operations Analyst role will partner with various levels of management in RAAS and assist with developing dashboards and visualizations to support RAAS initiatives. This includes Board of Directors reporting, financial investigation support, as well as Maritime and Financial/Operations reporting. The role should have basic analytics skills and the desire and ability to advance data analytics skill sets. The ability to understand data used in visualization / dashboards as well as explain details of visualizations to laymen terms is critical. An eye toward details and simplifying complex data “stories” through data visualization is critical. This role will be called upon to participate in meetings / interact with department and brand VPs.
Essential Functions:
- Create data visualizations and dashboards that distil large amounts of data into “stories” / themes that are easily understandable.
- Assist with the development of basic data analytic models to proactively identify company risks / support audit engagements.
- Maintain data repository and BI reporting that provides Brand Leadership and Maritime Auditors insights into maritime health, environmental, safety and security findings, root causes, actions and risk coverage.
- Advance Data Analytics capabilities to grow in the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Management Information Systems (or equivalent discipline) from an accredited college or university
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience performing equivalent functions at a large, complex organization. For a recent college graduate / current intern, we are willing to provide enhanced on-the-job training. Professional experience could also be waived for an energetic candidate with relevant education and a desire to learn on-the-job.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to interact with and communicate with various levels of personnel in the organization.
- A basic analytical understanding and strong detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills in order to understand business issues.
- Technically savvy with strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel (advance functions), Power Point, MS Project etc.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting concepts is preferred.
- Familiarity with and/or desire to learn dashboard, data reporting and data manipulation tools (i.e., Tableau, Hyperion, PowerBI etc.)
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel: No or very little travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May need to occasionally travel to various global locations on short notice.
The range for this role’s base salary is $51,600 - $80,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

- Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
