The carnival.com Content team is seeking a Manager, Web Content. This dynamic team drives the content strategy, design, development and implementation of product content for carnival.com — from new ship/experience launches to marketing campaigns, major interface redesigns to daily updates. We seek to inspire and educate site visitors throughout their online research and shopping journey, while providing the best possible user experience.

The Manager, Web Content oversees the day-to-day content operations for carnival.com, focused on non-booked guests, throughout the entire content lifecycle — including development, CMS implementation, maintenance, optimization, and governance. This role also contributes to the strategic planning of the carnival.com content plan and provides leadership to the Web Content team. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Ship Building, Guest Operations, Revenue Management, Fleet Deployment, Guest Care, etc.) to develop content plans; internal partners (Creative Services, UX/UI, DevOps, ADA, SEO) and external partners (agencies, vendors) to design and develop content following best practices; and the Web Content team to execute. The Manager, Web Content ensures digital content quality, consistency, relevancy, and compliance, with the goal of improving the user experience on carnival.com while meeting established business objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Content Team Leadership – Review and approve Content team deliverables before being published. Provides leadership, mentoring and training forWeb Content team consisting of Specialists and Contractors. Conducts performance management and career development coaching for direct reports. Briefs the team on projects, leads team meetings, ensures team members have tools and resources needed to successfully perform duties and responsibilities. Supports senior leadership with hiring, onboarding and training of new Content Team members.

  • Content Implementation & CMS Oversight – Oversees implementation of new content and maintenance of existing content using CMS and e-commerce software (some HTML/CSS). Ensures content meets site performance, SEO/AEO/GEO and compliance requirements across platforms and devices. Oversees curation of user-generated content using aggregator platform.

  • Cross-functional Partnerships – Partners with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams (Ship Building, Hotel Operations, Guest Commerce, Fleet Deployment, Guest Care, etc.) to develop content plans for incoming requests. Seeks information on new products and determines what is relevant to the .com audience, where it should live, what it affects and when it should be published.

  • Content Creation Oversight – Partners with internal Marketing, IT and Web Content teams (Creative Services, UX/UI, DevOps, ADA, SEO) to design, develop, and execute content following best practices. Oversees content creation by in-house, agency and freelance creative teams, briefs teams on content needs and provides direction/feedback to ensure final output meets business objectives, aligns with our brand voice, is relevant to the target audience, works in its intended location within the site, follows digital style guidelines across platforms and devices, is optimized for SEO/AEO/GEO and is ADA-compliant.

  • Content Merchandising & Performance Analysis – Collaborating with leadership, develops content merchandising plans for new programs and product enhancements to maximize assets and display in the most relevant sections of the site for the target audience. Reviews performance of existing content using A/B testing, analytics and digital experience platforms to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Request Evaluation & Prioritization – Evaluates incoming content creation/update requests and determines next steps (resources needed, priority, etc.).

  • Compliance & Best Practices Alignment – Aligns with e-commerce teams to ensure content follows best practices and compliance requirements (SEO/AEO/GEO, site performance, ADA, data privacy), incorporates learnings (A/B and user testing) and is properly tagged for analytics/reporting.

  • Process Improvement & Requirements Gathering – Identifies and drives ways to continuously improve upon production processes. Communicates business requests to product owner/scrum teams, assists in requirements gathering and reviewing completed business requirements needed for development work to be approved, sized, and prioritized. Validation/QA of completed work to ensure meets the requested requirements.

  • Content Calendar Maintenance – Maintains content calendar, including live dates for product launches being supported by .com, deployment dates for development relevant to content, maintenance schedule (e.g. dry docks, onboard enhancements, itinerary changes), recurring content audits.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Scope: This role oversees the execution of the content strategy for carnival.com, focused on non-booked guest experiences. The team is responsible for driving content from concept to completion — including new ship/experience launches, marketing campaigns, interface redesigns, and daily updates. The role manages the full content lifecycle (planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and optimization) while ensuring content accuracy, quality, and compliance. Collaborates with both Shoreside and Shipboard teams (CCL only). Partners cross-functionally with Marketing, eCommerce, IT, Guest Operations, Technical Operations, Commercial, etc. to gather requirements, develop content plans, coordinate updates, and deliver a consistent, high-quality digital experience.

  • Problem Solving: Requires leadership and collaboration across multiple teams to ensure content aligns with best practices and business goals, while maintaining consistency and compliance throughout the content lifecycle. Makes independent decisions on content priorities, resource allocation, and process improvements.

  • Impact: Directly influences the user experience on carnival.com and supports the achievement of established business goals and objectives through strategic content planning and execution. Responsible for direct report performance and ensuring quality of team deliverables.
  • Leadership:Responsible for hiring, performance management, coaching, and development of direct reports. Provides guidance, direction, and training to the broader Web Content team (Specialists and Contractors), including briefing the team on projects and ensuring team members have the tools and resources needed to deliver quality work.

Essential/Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Computer Science or related field

  • 5+ years in Digital Marketing or related field, preferably with both editorial and technical experience and 2+ years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred

Essential Experience Required:

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of CMS software (Sitecore a plus) and ecommerce platforms (Hybris a plus)

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Figma a plus

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira) a plus

Digital & UX Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of web, mobile interfaces, interactivity, and user experience

  • Familiarity with content management systems, digital asset management, and SEO/AEO/GEO best practices

  • Familiarity with ADA compliance a plus

  • Ability to specify technical requirements to development teams

Physical Demands:. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
