Responsibilities

Job ID 13541 Location Miami, FL Date posted 07/15/2026

The Senior Manager, Digital Product leads the strategy, roadmap, and commercialization of guest-facing digital experiences, owning end-to-end product performance across mobile, web, and onboard platforms. This role is accountable for driving revenue growth, guest engagement, and digital adoption at company scale.

Operating within a highly matrixed environment, the Senior Manager drives cross-functional alignment and execution across Product, Engineering, IT, UX, and shipboard teams to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions. The role shapes product investment priorities, influences long-term digital strategy, and ensures delivery of measurable business, operational, and guest experience outcomes.

Through strong leadership by influence, data-driven decision-making, and deep understanding of guest needs and operational complexity, the Senior Manager positions Carnival as a leader in digital innovation while continuously optimizing product performance across the full lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership: Define and drive the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for guest-facing digital experiences, ensuring alignment with business objectives, guest needs, and long-term innovation priorities. Leverage data, research, and competitive insights to inform investment decisions and product direction.

  • Cross-Functional Product Leadership & Delivery: Lead execution across multiple product teams and technology groups, translating strategic priorities into scalable solutions. Ensure alignment across Product, Engineering, IT, UX, and shipboard stakeholders, driving high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Portfolio Prioritization & Governance: Establish and govern prioritization frameworks, backlog strategy, and delivery sequencing across products and teams. Balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic outcomes, optimizing resource allocation and time-to-market.

  • Product Performance & Continuous Optimization: Own product performance outcomes, using analytics, experimentation (A/B testing), and stakeholder feedback to measure success against KPIs (e.g., revenue, adoption, NPS). Drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making.

  • Stakeholder & Executive Communication: Serve as the primary product leader for executive and cross-functional stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on roadmap, performance, risks, and opportunities. Influence decision-making at senior levels through compelling insights and business cases.

  • Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Lead strategic partnerships with external vendors and platforms, including evaluation, selection, and ongoing performance management. Ensure alignment with product strategy, technical standards, and business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Scope - This role leads the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of guest-facing digital products across shore and fleet within CCL's Booked Guest Marketing and Technology organization. It has company-wide reach, influencing how millions of guests interact with Carnival through the HUB app, mobile web, and integrated onboard systems. Operating as a senior individual contributor with dotted-line leadership over other Product Managers and IT resources, the role partners across Product, UX, Engineering, IT, Finance, shipboard teams, and external vendors (Apple, Google, AWS) to deliver products end-to-end—from discovery through post-launch optimization.

  • Problem solving - The role requires complex, multi-dimensional problem solving in a highly regulated, operationally complex environment. It involves: Analyzing app analytics, guest feedback, A/B tests, and operational KPIs to drive prioritization decisions. Anticipating downstream impacts on fleet operations, IT infrastructure, and compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA, PCI DSS, SOX). Resolving ambiguity in first-of-kind initiatives (AI agent bots, digital payments, video analytics, biometrics) with limited industry precedent. Translating business needs from non-technical stakeholders into clear, actionable requirements for engineering and IT, while proactively flagging risks to leadership.

  • Impact: The role drives broad, measurable impact across commercial, operational, and guest experience domains: Revenue: Influences onboard revenue via mobile payments, reservations, digital cruise credits, and mobile ordering. Guest Experience: Shapes the end-to-end digital journey, directly affecting satisfaction, app ratings, NPS scroes, and loyalty. Operations: Improves shipboard efficiency through digitization and AI-driven automation. Discipline Standards: Helps set Product Management standards (PRDs, intake, agile practices, KPIs) adopted across the team. Innovation: Leads industry-first initiatives (onboard Apple Pay, AI guest service bots, live activity notifications), positioning Carnival as a digital leader in cruise.

  • Leadership: While this role has no direct reports, it requires strong leadership through influence: Lead to Product Managers: Mentors and guides other PMs on roadmap, prioritization, and agile best practices. Lead to IT & Engineering: Provides dotted-line direction to engineering, QA, IT, and shipboard GT resources across multiple SCRUM pods. Executive Communication: Delivers regular updates to the leadership team (AVP, VP, and senior executives) on product performance, roadmap, and risks. Cross-Functional & Vendor Leadership: Drives alignment across Product, UX, IT, Finance, Legal, and shipboard ops; leads RFPs and partnerships with strategic vendors (Google, Apple, Amazon). Business Case & Resource Influence: Shapes vendor spend, resource allocation, and multi-million-dollar digital investment decisions. While the role does not have direct reports, it operates with broad organizational leadership and accountability comparable to people management roles. The Senior Manager leads through influence across a complex, matrixed environment, driving alignment and execution across multiple product teams, engineering, IT, and shipboard operations. Product Leadership: Provides strategic direction and mentorship to Product Managers, setting standards for roadmap development, prioritization frameworks, KPIs, and agile practices across the function. Cross-Functional Leadership: Leads large, cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, UX, Engineering, IT, Finance, Legal, and shipboard teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and outcomes. Delivery Oversight: Exercises dotted-line leadership over multiple SCRUM teams, influencing delivery across several concurrent product initiatives rather than a single team. Executive Influence: Regularly engages AVP, VP, and senior leadership to shape investment decisions, communicate product performance, escalate risks, and influence strategic direction. Vendor & Partner Leadership: Leads relationships and negotiations with key external partners (e.g., Apple, Google, AWS), including RFPs, roadmap alignment, and delivery accountability. Resource & Investment Influence: Impacts allocation of multi-team resources and multi-million-dollar digital investment decisions, with accountability for product outcomes despite no formal reporting lines.
