Responsibilities
The Financial Technology Manager will be responsible for overseeing efforts to support financial standardization, operational excellence, and governance maturity across Finance. This role partners with Payroll, Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Technology, and Compliance teams to design and operationalize harmonized processes, implement policies and deliver scalable frameworks that support the financial processes. The Manager will be responsible for documenting and ensuring appropriate financial data access between all Carnival finance applications, systems, and user access. The Manager is responsible for following up on all data quality management, data quality assurance, data governance and reporting excellence. The manager will manage, oversee, and develop the work on several onshore and offshore contractual resources and define a strategic plan for the department.
Responsible for leading, organizing, planning and multiple efforts in any function or process as needed by Finance and work closely with the Financial Systems Leadership team consisting of 6 Managers and various departments including Oracle Financials, Inventory Systems, Payroll, Shipboard Financial Applications, Financial Analytics, Capital/Financial Planning, Revenue, and Corporate Legal applications. They will lead the design of the future strategic technology roadmap while providing guidance and support to Managers and Business Systems Analysts throughout the organization.
The Financial Technology Manager will assess and design technical solution enhancements for our reporting and planning teams. They will transform business processes, practices, and tools to deliver end‑to‑end reporting and planning applications. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on implementation across various aspects of digital transformation within financial planning, emphasizing both technical expertise and leadership in change management and process improvement.
Essential Functions:
Support the development of a Financial Technology roadmap by partnering with business stakeholders. This role collaborates with teams across CCL Finance, Purchasing, Corporate, and Information Technology to ensure alignment with corporate goals and initiatives. Maintain and contribute to a unified finance operating model across international regions, business units, and entities.
Lead and drive change with the team by embracing and communicating the vision, assisting management with implementation of methods that ensures organizational buy-in and support and prioritizes and integrates the changes into business practice. Design and produce executive project management reporting, management capital and expense funding and resource management.
Provide direction, guidance, and support to Project Managers and Business Analysts, collaborating with cross functional teams to identify, document, and communicate opportunities for improving security and governance across processes, technology, and resources.
Support oversight of the teams in the reviews all I/S provided System Development Methodology documentation prior to sign-off. Proactively understands and manages risks by developing, testing, and/or implementing controls that are in support of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations.
Implement and provide training and structure for standard of technologies within the finance area. (Project tools standards, SharePoint sites, Teams, Outlook, Interface Diagrams, etc.)
Proactively seek opportunities to partner with business initiatives. Partner and provide leadership to stakeholders taking into consideration corporate strategy and initiatives. Develop strategy to determine priority and types of projects. Facilitate multiple projects and balance the resources, timelines, priority, and scope/objectives of projects. Prepare ROI and business objectives to obtain funding. Review and coordinate high level project plans. Oversee communication of status and results to business groups.
Staff Support – Assist with leading team objectives and day‑to‑day activities, including helping define role expectations and supporting recruiting efforts within the Financial Systems team. Contribute to training and development by identifying strengths, areas for improvement, and cross‑training needs. Work with team members and SMEs to ensure project business requirements are well understood and documented. Help identify risks, business needs, and opportunities that align with broader departmental objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Scope: Collaborate with both Shoreside and Shipboard
Problem solving: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
Impact: Strong understanding of financial data analysis tools and systems such as Oracle Financials, BI analytics, cloud and local data warehouses, etc.
Able to multi-task, work independently and balance requests at peak workloads (or change gears quickly for important requests) from various departments and upper management.
Leadership: Contractual resources on/offshore. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in project management, policy governance, process harmonization, and standardization, with a proven ability to execute complex, multi-region initiatives in diverse environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor’s degree in information systems, IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study; or any combination of relevant background, skills, and experience.
Master’s Degree Preferred

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
