The Shipboard Employee Experience & Talent Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and functional support to our Performance Management users, Talent Review processes and Culture and Engagement survey.

Essential Functions:

  • Performance Management: provides technical and administrative support.  User Support: act as the first point of contact for users with questions regarding the performance management system. Investigate and troubleshoot user-reported errors, distinguishing between user errors and technical issues. Enhancement Implementations: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement new enhancements to the performance management system. Ensure successful implementation and integration of new features, working closely with development teams.  Presentation and Communication: Develop and deliver presentations on system usage and enhancements to various stakeholders, including HR teams. Communicate effectively to ensure users understand system changes and improvements. Performance System Auditing: conduct thorough audits of the performance management system to identify and rectify errors in reports. Ensure data accuracy and integrity, providing reliable insights to support decision-making processes. Compliance Monitoring: run regular reports to demonstrate the completion of performance evaluations and ensure compliance with established guidelines and timelines. Issue Escalation and Ticket Creation: Determine the severity of reported issues and escalate complex technical problems to the IT team for resolution. Create detailed tickets outlining the nature of the problem, steps taken, and relevant user information for efficient problem resolution. Issue Tracking and Follow-up: maintain a comprehensive tracking system for all reported issues, monitoring progress and ensuring timely resolution. Regularly communicate with users and IT teams to provide updates on the status of reported issues.  
  • Talent Management: supports the administrative and logistical aspects of the Talent Review process.  Including scheduling meetings, reviewing feedback, compiling data while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to established timelines. Develop talent review cards using relevant data and feedback from talent review surveys. Distribute talent review cards to ship and shore department leadership. Support calibration meetings with HR and executive leadership teams to ensure consistent standards across departments. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee data throughout the talent review process.
  • Employee Engagement: supports the development of tools, programs, and metrics that increase Employee Engagement.  Supports the Annual Employee Engagement Survey administration & action planning process for 40000 employees - including ship preparation, survey execution, reporting and action planning. Ensures the results are communicated and action planning efforts are upheld fleet wide throughout the year.
  • Vendor and Supply Management - including but not limited to sourcing, procuring, coding of purchases and vendor relationship and contract maintenance in partnership with Purchasing and Accounting teams. Ordering and delivery of HR items; managing the ordering for special projects such as new ship builds, program supplies, etc.
  • Employee Communication: supports assigned projects that relate to delivering internal communication to our shipboard team members. Designs and works with external departments on print and electronic forms of communication to ensure effectiveness and brand standards are upheld. Creates engaging and informative content for the weekly newsletter the Current, highlighting the positive impact of our shipboard talent and engagement programs. Works closely with the creative team to develop and maintain branding guidelines, creating visually appealing and cohesive collateral for our programs. Manages updates to our SharePoint pages.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources preferred.
  • 1-3 years in an HR role as a Coordinator or Administrator with an emphasis in employee experience and talent management or HR business partnership, specifically improving employee and organizational performance through the design and delivery of people programs. Preferably in the hospitality or cruise industry
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, able to multitask with enthusiasm, proactive, able to work independently in a fast paced environment, strive to build strong business relationships, possess professional verbal and written English skills

Licenses & Certifications:

  • CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional upon hire preferred
  • PCNSA upon hire preferred

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Travel:  No travel

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

This position is classified as “in-office.”  As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. 

Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
