Dynamic Exposure: Immerse yourself in our business units, including Human Resources, Revenue Management, Communications, Finance and Accounting, IT, and Marine Operations.

Key Details:

Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. 

Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer. 

Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program. 

Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely. 

Department Name: New Builds – Dry Dock PMO 

Department Summary: Drydock PMO is responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of drydock projects in close collaboration with Technical Operations and Hotel Refurbishment teams. We serve as the central knowledge hub for all drydock-related activities, ensuring alignment, consistency, and operational excellence across the fleet. Our team drives project governance, timeline management, and stakeholder coordination to deliver successful drydock outcomes that support the long-term performance and guest experience of our vessels. 

Internship Project Summary:

Project Title: Fleet Dry Dock Technical Specifications Database 

Objective: Intern will assist in developing a database for the technical specifications (Hull Maintenance, propulsion systems) for each class of the fleet. 

Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)

Assist in the collection of specifications 

Coordinate with stakeholders and manage communications related to specifications 

Support team with all PMO initiatives 

Learning Outcomes

Practical exposure to drydock planning and executions 

Development of technical and regulatory knowledge of ocean going vessels 

Strengthening communication and collaboration skills 

Specific Qualifications

Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Technical: Proficiency with Microsoft suite and AutoCAD 

Preferred Experience: Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering/Ocean Engineering/Mechanical course work
