Responsibilities
The Manager, Casino Operations will support the Senior Manager/Director Casino Operations in overseeing the company’s gaming operations across multiple vessels and/or brands. He/she will focus primarily on maximizing profitability from the existing gaming operations, ensuring that this is achieved while providing an exceptional guest experience and a consistently high level of service. Secondary objective is to identify opportunities to drive business forward through new products, programs and initiatives. He/she will be the immediate point of contact for all assigned ships, and must be knowledgeable, confident and effective in interactions with staff and management at all levels. All aspects of the casino operations and relevant areas including revenue, costs, forecasts, general operations, marketing, and gaming industry specific data (i.e. slot performance, volatility, and hold). This position will perform objective analysis of gaming operations, present findings & recommendations to Operations Management under the guidance of the Director of Casino Operations. The individual will function as the key liaison between Global Casino Operations and our cruise brands, in order to ensure that we are effectively aligning our efforts and focus with the various business opportunities to achieve the greatest return for the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Thorough analysis of key performance data, from slots, tables, bingo, arcade and other revenue sources, identify ways to increase productivity/profitability.
- Prepare and present proposals to support trials of initiatives resulting from the above analysis. If approved, initiate trials on test ships, monitor results, and provide reports as required.
- Provide project management for all technical, operational, and business initiatives which includes expense tracking, communication with the brand partners, and long-term planning and execution of business strategies related to casino projects.
- Visit ships both in port and on a revenue sailing, to ensure that individual/overall operational performance and procedures are in line with expectations. Travel to ships would be expected to form ~25% of this person’s working Hours're of analytical and operational results for the senior management on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Partner with Director/Senior Manager of Operations in the preparation of Plan/Forecast targets.
- Investigate and explain any variances against targets, and propose corrective action if under-performing
- Work collaboratively with the brand and other GCO teams/ units to provide the best guest experience onboard and to develop key initaitives to drive revenue.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
- Participate in and contribute to brand/operating team leadership meetings
- Thorough gaming knowledge, awareness of the markets and knowledge of our onboard environments, identify new products that may increase casino revenue.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of all casino systems, excel, outlook, word, and CAD/ technical applications. Strong knowledge of slot, table games, surveillance, and casino networking equipment.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to life in excess of 50 pounds. May need to stand for long periods of time.
Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
