Responsibilities
The Asset Reliability & Planning Analyst will provide analytical support to drive reliability engineering, performance improvement and change management initiatives across technical maintenance and inventory work-streams. Within the maintenance work-stream, this role would provide analytical support for quality control/assurance of maintenance reporting, process improvement for data collection methods and standardization of Planned Maintenance System (PMS) job-cards across fleet. Within the inventory work-stream, this role would provide analytical support for database item management, inventory control and accuracy monitoring, inventory optimization and supply-chain process improvement initiatives. The role will report into the Technical Operations function, and require collaboration with Technical IT, Supply-Chain and Strategic Sourcing functions within the company.
Essential Functions:
- Provide analytical support for key strategic and corporate initiatives (MAST, Maintenance Planning) such as equipment failure data, frequencies and root cause analysis in order to identify areas of opportunities and create action plans. Support design of new capabilities within planned maintenance system; Create SOPs and document process flows. Develop and maintain PowerBi critical spares dashboard.
- Provide analytical support for key strategic and corporate initiatives (MAST, Inventory Planning) such as performing ABC/Pareto analysis on spare part items, administering inventory cycle counting and accuracy reporting program, calculating MIN/MAX/ROP/EOQ levels for spare part items. Ensures that fleet and warehouse maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet projected demands based on performed consumption analysis. Create SOPs and document process flows.
- Drive standardization of planned maintenance system job cards (instructions on how to perform inspection and maintenance). This will require technical knowledge and ability to translate requirements into actionable steps for the crew to execute. Review spare parts consumption data to periodically determine/update required parts for each job card.
- Drive standardization of processes for data collection (AMOS measurement forms) by engaging SMEs to define parameters, acceptance ranges, and thresholds needed. Perform quality assurance of maintenance and inventory reports made by crew identifying gaps to ensure accuracy and consistency. Assesses and Flags critical spares for each vessel.
- Provide analytical support for development of business cases for new technologies, systems and programs to drive maintenance and inventory improvement initiatives (e.g condition based and/or predictive maintenance technologies, vendor-managed inventory etc).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in in Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Data Analytics required.
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in Maritime, Energy, Chemical or Manufacturing industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Analytical Skills, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to manage and interpret large data sets.
- Advanced Excel, Tableau/Power BI, Stata/R and MATLAB preferred.
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Travel: 20%-50% shipboard travel likely
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
