Job Description
The Analyst, Decarbonization supports the corporation’s strategic and operational efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and advance sustainability across cruise operations. This position blends analytical rigor with technical insight, helping cross-functional teams make informed decisions on fuel strategy, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment, the position will contribute to the development of decarbonization initiatives through data analysis and modeling, evaluating technologies, and supporting subject matter experts in decision-making processes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, quantitative aptitude, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis, Modeling, and Reporting:
Conduct quantitative analysis of fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy efficiency performance to develop internal and external GHG targets
Develop reports and dashboards to track progress versus targets
Support internal and external reporting requirements, including sustainability disclosures and regulatory submissions
Energy Efficiency Support:
Support subject matter experts on progress reporting of energy efficiency programs
Assist in cost-benefit analysis and other evaluations
Coordinate with Performance Engineering on the development and reporting of KPIs
Project/Initiatives Support and Coordination:
Prepare meeting materials, track action items, and contribute to group deliverables
Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners
Facilitate information sharing across the Decarbonization Working Group and its subgroups
Ad Hoc Analysis:
One-time or low-frequency reporting
Investigate competitor fuel consumption and provide competitor insights
Collect and maintain information on broader maritime fuel markets
Requirements
Lead by example by ‘respecting and protecting’ the health and safety of yourself and others
Ensure your team and colleagues speak up report all accidents, “near miss” incidents, and work-related ill health conditions
Help your team follow HESS rules and procedures by promoting the HESS Golden Rules
Attend HESS training & conduct risk assessments where required
Demonstrate HESS leadership in accordance with our Heroes of Safe & Well program
2-5 years of experience in marine, technical, engineering, or related field.
Display curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous and cross-functional environment.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida, Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from home on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Holidays – All full-time and part-time with benefits employees receive days off for 8 company-wide holidays, plus 2 additional floating holidays to be taken at the employee’s discretion.
Vacation Time – All full-time employees at the manager and below level start with 14 days/year; director and above level start with 19 days/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. All employees gain additional vacation time with further tenure.
Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
