Responsibilities
The Business Analyst plays a technical role in our efforts to provide decision support in selecting, optimizing, prioritizing, and executing projects, managing the deployment of services, and evaluating/monitoring operational and financial benefits as they relate to the CCL Finance organization. This role oversees special projects, system maintenance and enhancements, related to Finance Operations functions, supporting both strategic and tactical initiatives and working alongside the Financial Analytics team to develop key strategic initiatives based on interpretation of analyses and detailed review of current processes. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring the success of project delivery in terms of functionality and quality. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, conducting data analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making. Additionally, the analyst will manage system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, systems administration, and provide training and support to end-users. Strong analytical skills, experience with financial systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders are essential for this role. The role works in conjunction with other teams within CCL Finance, Hotel Operations, Supply Chain, Marine Operations, Technical Operations, Guest Logistics, Groups, etc. to ensure cohesiveness with corporate goals and initiatives. This position oversees other resources working on projects, and proactively seeks opportunities to partner with business units on important strategic initiatives. This individual works with IT, Decision Support, business users and any other departments as needed to support the development and implementation of new business practices. focusing on process improvement and business process re-engineering as well as handling the relationship with vendors.
Essential Functions:
Oversee all financial systems related projects for Finance, Shipboard Operations and other CCL Finance teams that improve CCL’s controls, protect our assets, increases Finance relevance and reliability and improves our financial insights to support enterprise-wide initiatives. Monitor project schedules as well as take ownership of change management process.
Analyze financial systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal performance. Conduct data analysis to provide accurate and timely financial performance insights to management.
Gather and document business requirements to design effective system solutions. Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and support financial system enhancements and new technology initiatives. Ensure compliance with software development standards, including coding practices, security protocols, and regulatory requirements

Document business processes, system configurations, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
System support, Identify and troubleshoot system issues, providing technical support and resolving problems efficiently.
Submit/prioritize systems defects and content management cases that impact Finance Operations.
Train end-users on new systems and processes to ensure smooth adoption and optimal use of financial systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Scope: Collaborate with both Shoreside and Shipboard
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study; or any combination of relevant background, skills and experience
PMP preferred
General knowledge of infrastructure requirements and components, SharePoint sites, intranets, and networks.
Strong understanding of financial data analysis tools and systems such as Oracle Financials, Hyperion Essbase, Tableau, or OBIEE.
Must have strong command of Microsoft Office programs, advance level of Excel and interactive reporting tools.
Ability to manage time and engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously at a fast pace.
Ability to problem solve and excellent communication skills. Experience managing business/financial planning and analysis processes.
Working knowledge in accounting principles and issues.
Shipboard accounting systems knowledge required.
3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various methodologies that support that lifecycle in Shipboard Operations and Finance Experience in business/financial planning and analysis processes with a working knowledge in accounting principles and issues.
Experience in project management on software development projects
Shipboard experience required, project management experience, including testing of enterprise size applications.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
Able to multi-task, work independently and balance requests at peak workloads (or change gears quickly for important requests) from various departments and upper management.
Travel: 25-50% with shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
This position is classified as “remote.” As a remote role, it allows employees to work full-time from their home. It may also require regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-office collaboration. Sourcing of candidates is primarily done in Carnival’s remote hubs of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. If the search is extended past those areas, candidates must be located in one of the following U.S. states: FL, GA, TX and NC
