CASI, Cruise Administration Services Inc, a Carnival Cruise Line entity in the Philippines currently has a Tax Analyst role available.

Job Summary:

Tax Analyst reports to Finance Manager and will be responsible for tax and statutory functions and other duties assigned. The primary responsibilities for this role include but not limited to; 1. Assists with tax, internal and statutory audit and other local regulatory compliance 2. Prepares and analyses journal entries and account reconciliations related to tax and stat accounts 3. All other tasks as assigned like evaluates and proposes process improvements for operational efficiency

Essential functions:

  • Prepare the working papers for all tax and compliance filing
  • Prepare and analyze journal entries and account reconciliations related to tax and statutory accounts
  • Work with the relevant teams during regular and special audits either internal or external by providing necessary documents
  • Assist in the review of possible impact of new tax rules, issuances and BIR rulings
  • Assist in overseeing requirements for national and local permits (business permits renewals and registrations, submission of books of accounts, BIR Certificate of Registration and other related certifications)
  • Make available all documents and audit working papers for submission to BIR and liaise whenever there are tax assessments
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred BS Accountancy
  • 3-5 years in audit firm or shared services or BPO setup
  • Accounting Systems-Oriented, MS Office (Word, Powerpoint and especially Excel)
