Job Summary
The Security Officer - Patrol and Protection is responsible for maintaining safety and security by monitoring areas, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. They oversee assigned posts, support team operations, and ensure adherence to security procedures. The role requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and the ability to act quickly in emergencies.
Key Accountabilities / Job Functions
1. Incident Response & Emergency Management
Respond promptly to security incidents, accidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
Take immediate action to control situations, ensure safety, and escalate issues when necessary.
Provide assistance during evacuations, medical emergencies, or other crisis events.
2. Access Control & Screening
Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Verify identification and authorization for access to restricted areas.
Conduct security screenings, baggage checks, pat-downs, and vehicle inspections as required.
3. Patrols, Monitoring & Safety Assurance
Perform regular patrols of designated areas to detect and prevent security or safety hazards.
Observe and report suspicious activities, unsafe conditions, or potential risks.
Assist with general maintenance efforts by identifying and reporting safety-related issues.
4. Reporting, Communication & Training
Maintain accurate and detailed records, including daily activity logs and incident reports.
Provide clear, professional communication to guests, staff, and management regarding security protocols.
Participate in security drills, training exercises, and continuous learning to enhance readiness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adheres to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility for financial data entered, stored, or reported via business systems within employee’s control (list not exhaustive).
