We use the personal data we collect during the recruiting process and when an individual applies for a job with us to:
- Identify the individual as a potential candidate and review their application for a position with us;
- Verify the information provided to us in connection with their application or received from other sources;
- Determine their eligibility and suitability for the potential position or other opportunities with us;
- Facilitate the recruiting and interview process;
- Communicate with the individual about the status of their application or other opportunities with us that may be of interest to them;
- Assess and improve the performance and success of our recruiting and hiring process;
- Conduct internal investigations, audits, compliance, risk management, problem resolution and security operations;
- Fulfill contractual obligations to recruiters and other third parties;
- Determine the terms of job offers and enter into agreements with successful applicants;
Identify and mitigate to risk and other Carnival Corporation entities; or comply with applicable law, rules, regulations, legal proceedings, and government investigations.
Please note that if an individual accepts an offer from us, we may transfer the personal data we collected about them during the recruiting and job application process to their personnel file with us.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Decision-Making
We may use artificial intelligence and other automated tools to process personal data as part of the recruiting, application, and hiring process for any position. We may use these tools to record, transcribe, analyze, and summarize candidate communications and interviews. We may also use these tools to summarize profiles, resumes, and applications, and to score profiles, resumes, and applications relative to criteria we establish for each position. While we take the outputs of this automated processing into consideration when making recruiting, application, and hiring decisions, we do not use these tools to make any automated hiring decisions or to make hiring decisions based solely on the insights and recommendations generated by these tools. Instead, all recruiting, application, and hiring decisions are made by our team following human review of information collected from or about candidates. We may share the categories of personal data outlined above with the following third parties for the purposes described below:
Within Carnival Corporation: We share personal data relating to job applicants within the Carnival Corporate and Carnival family of companies for internal administrative purposes and uses that are consistent with this Job Applicant Notice. For example, the Carnival entity responsible for the job posting may share personal data about an applicant with another Carnival Corporation entity that is responsible for our organization-wide recruiting and employment decisions.

Retention of personal data
We retain personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or until the applicant withdraws consent. However, if necessary, we may retain personal data for longer periods of time, until set retention periods and deadlines expire, for instance where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, tax, and accounting requirements set by a legislature, regulator, or other government authority.
To determine the appropriate duration of the retention of personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of personal data, whether we can attain our objectives by other means, and our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and other applicable obligations.
Once retention of the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes outlined above, we will either delete or deidentify the personal data, or, if this is not possible (for example, because personal data has been stored in backup archives), then we will not further process the personal data until deletion or deidentification is possible.

If we need your consent, you can choose not to give it or take it back at any time. Withdrawing your consent won't affect how we used your information before. If you give us consent, we will only use your information for the reasons you agreed to. If you don't give consent or take it back, we might not be able to further process your application. Other than that, saying no or taking back your consent won't have any negative effects on you.
Information Collected through Pre-engagement Screening
We will inform you if we obtain any information through pre-engagement screening that could affect our decision to offer you a role with us. We will give you the opportunity to respond to the information obtained and will take your response into account when deciding whether to proceed with your recruitment.
Some of the recipients listed the Section headed “Disclosure of Personal Data” are located outside the EEA and UK, including the United States. With respect to international transfers of your personal data from locations in the EEA and the UK to jurisdictions that are not considered to provide an adequate level of data protection under the GDPR or UK GDPR, we have implemented appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and under the UK Data Protection Act 2018, to secure the transfer of your personal data.

Sensitive Information
‘Sensitive information’ includes (i) health data and information, (ii) biometric data, (iii) genetic data, (iv) criminal records, (v) children data, (vi) personal financial data, and/or (vii) other data in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We may use sensitive information for the purposes set forth in the Our Collection and Use of Personal Data section of our Privacy Notice where needed to assess your application, fulfill contracts with you, follow legal requirements, to protect life and for safety, and for other internal purposes consistent with the applicable laws and regulations.
Children refer to individuals under the age of 18 and unmarried.
You may only provide us with the personal data of your dependents, such as your spouse or children, if you are authorized to disclose such data to us.

Before processing personal data of your children for the purposes stated herein, we will seek consent from you as their parent or legal guardian in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
In the event that you provide us with personal data of children for the purposes stated herein, we will process such data in a manner consistent with applicable laws and regulations protecting the privacy of children’s data.
Personal Data of People with Disabilities
Data Subject Rights: In addition to the rights aforementioned in “Available Privacy Rights” section, you also have the right to obtain information, terminate processing and to lodge a complaint and compensation.
We may transfer your personal data to countries located outside Indonesia. In transferring personal information out of your country of residence, we will:
