The Maritime OT Cyber Safety Analyst serves as the liaison between Carnival Cruise Line (CCL), and Carnival Corporation’s Global Information Security and Compliance (GISCS) organization. This role provides support for maritime cyber safety operational technology (OT) compliance, project management, and operations. Responsibilities include facilitating cyber procedure awareness and training, addressing audit findings, managing corrective and preventive action plans, coordinating brand-specific cyber safety projects, overseeing deployment tasks, collaborating with shipboard staff, participating in project meetings, working with IT networking teams, managing OT cyber safety tools, and liaising with the brand's dedicated cyber security lead on OT cyber incidents. 

Essential Functions:

  • Support the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, and the GISCS organization’s OT cyber safety program by managing audit findings and self-reported non-conformities, including conducting root cause analysis, creating corrective/preventative action plans, implementing procedural protection measures, and cyber training/awareness. 
  • Assist with OT cyber safety project delivery integration by coordinating deployment tasks with the brand shipboard and shoreside staff and attending project meetings
  • Support OT cyber safety risk assessments, Pen Tests, and remediation efforts, collaborate with appropriate teams, identify recovery plans, and create cyber incident documentation
  • Third-party contact for fleetwide system updates and processes (e.g., password changes, OT system inventory, patching).
  • Draft brand specific project requirements and ensure alignment to OT cyber safety procedures and operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry regulations as it relates to maritime cyber guidelines, such as but not limited to, CLIA, BIMCO, IMO, NIST, U.S. Coast Guard, MSC-FAL.1/Circ.3, etc.
  • Assist with reviewing and auditing fleet-wide compliance with OT cyber safety procedures and support other maritime cyber safety CCL as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Discipline/Major:  Cybersecurity, Business Analysis, Operational Technology, Compliance, Audit, Network Essentials, IT Servers, End User Computing  
  • Required Certifications:  Preferred CISSP, CRISC, CISM or other Security Professional Certification
  • Required Years & Professional Areas of Expertise: 5 years + minimum experience evaluating and implementing cybersecurity systems that protect, detect unauthorized system access and vulnerabilities. Extensive experience building process, controls, operating procedures, and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to apply OT-related knowledge and experience in solving compliance issues by documenting preventive and corrective action plans
  • Preferred Education:  Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related area is required.  An advanced degree is desirable
  • Preferred Experience & Type:  Proven 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity analysis, compliance, cybersecurity analysis, compliance, and audits

Decision-Making:

  • Tactical:  Decisions focus on intermediate-term issues. The purpose of decisions made at this level are to help move Carnival closer to reaching strategic goals. Outcomes are predictable. After a decision is made by Top Executive Leadership, the next phase is to take the needed steps to implement it.  Examples are: The amount of money required to implement, which advertising agency to promote a new service or to provide an incentive plan to employees to encourage increased revenue.
  • Operational:  Decisions focus on day-to-day activities within the company. Decisions made at this level help to ensure that daily activities proceed smoothly and therefore help to move the company toward reaching a strategic goal. They have short term consequences. Examples are: Handling employee conflicts, purchasing materials needed for operations.  
  • Standard:  These decisions are those that are repetitive decisions on a recurring basis and are commonly related to daily activities. They are relatively simple, relying on historical data and previous solutions. Examples are: reordering of standard office supplies, handling transactions.   

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.  Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities. 

Travel:  Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely.

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

The range for this role’s salary $60,000-$90,000.  Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

    • Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.  Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
