Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Trade Advertising Specialist. The Trade Advertising Specialist will head trade related marketing programs including: creative campaign development, advertising, sales presentations, printed brochure and online marketing assets. 


Lead B2B (trade/travel agency) media advertising including:

  • Campaign development
  • Ad creation
  • Agency relationships
  • Management Media placement calendar
  • Communication on timelines and upcoming insertions with Sales Leadership as appropriate
  • Reconcile invoices and work within a defined budget
  • Copywriting of print ads, emails, webinars, team notifications, and other items as necessary.
  • Ability to quickly learn/adopt Carnival’s brand essence and tone of voice
  • Ability to quickly review Carnival marketing assets to assist in marketing asset development
  • Manage metrics and reporting of campaign effectiveness

Project management development of Conference Platforms/Presentations

  • Manage agency for creation of sales presentations used at major conferences and events
  • Provide compelling proof points and content for use in development of presentation
  • Distribute and train sales team on presenting
  • Maintain project on a strict schedule
  • Develop reporting and metrics structure
  • Work within a defined budget

Online Materials

  • Manage the digital flyer and asset library.
  • Ensuring that entire library is updated on a regular cycle
  • Develop marketing plans to promote library to B2B community
  • Develop process documentation for the ongoing management of the library
  • Manage invoice reconciliation and budget
  • Monitor usage, compile metrics, and make recommendations based on results

Brochure and Printed Material development

  • Lead creative development, production and distribution policies of brochures, printed materials and holiday cards
  • Manage relationship with creative ad agencies involved in piece development
  • Liaise with CCL and WLCL teams for content
  • Develop detail project plans and timelines, effectively share and communicate these with management teams
  • Develop post project summaries
  • Reconcile invoices and work within a defined budget
  • Lead set up discussions for distribution and ordering of collateral, including allocation allotments and schedules
  • Support marketing, training, and trade engagement teams as needed with project support.
  • Perform other job related functions as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Discipline/Major in Marketing
  • Minimum 5 years advertising or marketing project management experience. 
  • Working knowledge of cruise industry preferred. 
  • Highly creative and detail oriented.  Must be organized with keen attention to detail and strong marketing project management experience.  Ability and comfort working with senior executives. 
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Copywriting and past advertising experience preferred. 
  • Comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments.  Passion for success with a willingness to learn.  Ability to make sound decisions, at moments with conflicting time demands.  Microsoft office intermediate level Excel and excellent PowerPoint skills.
