Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Strategic Planning Project Analyst. The primary focus of the position is to develop and implement an operational planning tool and procedure to ensure that all projects, maintenance, surveys, etc. are executed as efficiently as possible. This position will regularly collaborate with shore side (ship managers, asset managers, project managers) and shipboard (chief engineers, captains, hotel directors, etc.) in order to efficiently plan and manage the master schedule for all operational activities. Utilizing the operational planner, they will analyze project trends, forecast and analyze cabin usage and monitor and track progress.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with IT in developing specific programs / platforms for documenting and monitoring operational planning for $ 134 million projects.
  • Facilitate weekly/ bi monthly meetings to collect project/ operational scheduling details for our fleet of 26 ships from 53 ship, project and asset managers.
  • Create and execute a training plan for the implementation of the operational scheduling tool for both shore side and shipboard.
  • Manage the operational scheduling tool along with necessary communication for 26 ships within the fleet.
  • Analyze project trends to determine most efficient scheduling plan.
  • Forecast and analyze cabin usage based on scheduled projects within department to plan for optimal efficiency.
  • Monitor and track project process status for all projects within department.
  • Develop and manage long term (5 year +) plan for all strategic projects including but not limited to energy conservation, environmental, redundancy and safety.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience organizing multiple large, cross-functional projects and detailed understanding of successful project coordination.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to support multiple priorities concurrently.
  • The ideal candidate is able to successfully interact with individuals at all management levels and is a proven problem solver.
