Job Description


Position will report to the Sr. Manager Global Sourcing Solutions. As part of the Sourcing Technology team, the Sr. Solutions Analyst will provide the Sourcing teams at Corporate and the opco’s with support for the sourcing/purchasing efforts which will allow Carnival Corporation to leverage our global scale across ~$10 billion of direct and indirect goods and services.  

This position will support all key spend areas, including but not limited to: Ports, Shore Excursions, Technical, IT, Food & Beverage, Hotel, Freight, Marketing, Air Travel, and Retail.

This position will provide a great opportunity to learn about the operations across our 10 global brands as well as in a wide variety of spend categories and sourcing markets.

This position is responsible for working with key Sourcing stakeholders across our 9 Brands to provide systems support for specific sourcing initiatives with the goal of leveraging our global scale. Positive relationship building with the ability to be influential without direct authority will be required.

The position will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Design and maintain Mid-level Solutions.
  • QA/UAT and end-user testing support
  • Application Support (Level 1-2)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Mid-level Solutions Design:

  • Engage with business users to document Business Requirements using standardized format.
  • Analyze business needs, create process flow diagrams, work with the team to brainstorm technical design and recommend options for solution.
  • Become configuration SME for Ariba Contract Management and Coupa. Manage Approval Flows, platform options, workflow design.
  • Release Management
  • Design and maintain integrations.

QA/UAT Efforts

  • Conduct Unit Testing for cross-team projects.
  • Create UAT Scripts for cross-team projects.
  • Provide End User Testing Support and assist with tracking and documenting defects and fixes.

Application Support

  • Become an SME for one or more major systems managed by the team (Ariba, Coupa, Fuel Purchasing system, Analytics tools)
  • Provide support for all major and minor systems managed by the team.
  • Support Development and Deployment of training content
  • Spend Analytics AIC monthly data refresh planning & execution.
  • Bulk Loads (Ariba, Markview, Ship itinerary, etc.)
  • Address user inquiries, system outages, change management needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree

Discipline/Major:  Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems preferred, or related experience.

Required Years and Area of Professional Experience:4+ years of experience with a track record of driving results in systems support, design, and development. Prior sourcing/ supply chain experience/knowledge preferred but not required.

Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills:4+ years of experience as systems analyst, business analyst or equivalent level, SQL skill at beginner to intermediate level, Experience with reporting tools such as MS SSRS, Tableau (or other), Python coding is a plus, Ariba contract management is a plus but not required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills
  • Proven history of designing, implementing, supporting software solutions at a Global corporation
  • Familiar with SQL query-writing and proficient in data visualization tools (MS SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, or other)
  • Experience with Python, Java, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, HTML a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated Project management skills or previous experience with Agile development (scrum, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and interact with all levels of the organization – able to interface independently and effectively with peers in other departments/ Brands.
  • Well organized and can prioritize multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.

The range for this role’s base salary is $88,000 - $90,000.  Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
