For the Carnival Global Sourcing group, the Senior Financial Analyst will compile the annual financial plan and forecasts and reports on the results. The Senior Financial Analyst will regularly monitor A/P KPIs and report out on them to the department head centrally and within the brands. Further, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist in performing the calculations and tracking the cost innovation initiatives and provide analytical support for all areas under the responsibility of the Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in compilation of financial plans and forecasts
- Prepare reports and presentations to be presented to management
- Streamline planning, forecasting process and reporting of actuals to plan and forecast reporting
- Identify areas of risks and opportunities and formulate actions to address them
- Investigate variances, document explanations to be presented to management
- Provide support to the leaders in the categories under the responsibility of the Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing to quantify the value of the cost innovation opportunities and update the calculations as needed
- Maintain the tracking document used to capture all opportunities and ensure the file is kept current
- Provide reporting on the opportunities as requested
- Participate in meetings to review the opportunities with stakeholders and Finance approvers
- In the categories under the responsibility of the Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing, provide analytical support as needed
- Using the tools already in place, analyze the KPIs and provide an executive level summary to leadership on a regular basis including any key recommendations
- Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting
- 3 - 5 years of experience in financial roles include financial planning, accounting and analytics
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS), Oracle, and experience with Hyperion and Power BI is highly desired
- Experience in a large public or private company or large public accounting firm
- Direct experience in a large corporation
- High energy and team player
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and issues
- Ability to interface independently and effectively with peers in other departments and Brands within the organization
- Experience with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinker and solutions oriented

- Strong proficiency with Power Point and ability to create meaningful presentations for the intended recipients, which will vary from detailed to executive-level
- Oracle Financial Systems experience and knowledge is strongly preferred
- Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase experience is a plus
- Power BI experience highly desired

The range for this role’s base salary is $85,000 - $95,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
