Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Merchandising & Personalization Specialist! The Digital Experience Specialist will deliver a personalized user experience for the customer. Focused on targeting and segmentation, the specialist will use their front-end development skills to develop the optimal content for the guests and result in growing engagement and bookings across The specialist will manage product and sale merchandising content as well as personalized content throughout This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to execute promotional placements, develop merchandising content and enhance the user experience through optimization with a focus on personalization and other site merchandising opportunities. In addition, this role helps manage and implement a strategic test and learn plan and an effective targeting strategy for retail and product-driven campaigns. The digital experience team rotates on-call days for urgent site issues that occur over nights/weekend. The specialist will work closely with IT, Product Owners, Strategy, E-mail and Revenue Management teams to provide a seamless user experience.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop & schedule merchandising & personalization content throughout
  • QA merchandising/personalization content and set-up, ensuring customer experience is optimal, meeting ADA and website speed standards.
  • Assist in management and execution of test and learn plan via Optimizely.
  • Collaborate with strategy team to translate merchandising ideation into development plans.
  • Develop, test and deploy enhancements throughout the site to drive higher engagement and improved conversion.
  • Create personalized audience segments through Audiencestream.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Discipline/major in Computer Science, Marketing or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in digital marketing or content management using a CMS. 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are a must. Excellent communication and presentation skills with a thorough understanding of how to communicate effectively in a digital environment. Problem solving skills to come up with effective solutions to barriers. High level of initiative. Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, yet collaboratively in a team. Ability to multi-task and embrace the dynamics of diverse project work. Ability to work extended hours, including occasional nights and/or weekends. 
  • Front-end development skills required.  
  • HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery. Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus.
