Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Web Mobile Architect. The Senior Web/Mobile Architect is a mature architect with web/mobile development background who delivers future vision and transition roadmaps, technical solutions, team leadership and guidance across web and mobile domains with the focus on guest facing web/mobile applications. More broadly, this position enables enterprise transformation leveraging technology, people, processes, and cultural changes.  This individual provides patterns, design, and coordination without constraining -- in fact, encouraging -- the speed of innovation and business change. The Senior Web/Mobile Architect provides strong leadership in architecture, design, and development of web/mobile applications and platforms.  This person guides technology decisions, and develops future state architectures and roadmaps that effectively support CCL enterprise business strategy. This role works closely with the Supervisor, Digital Architecture, other Architects, senior leadership within Digital Marketing and Guest Technology business units, and Global Infrastructure and Security organizations. 

Essential Functions

  • Shape architecture, technical direction, culture, and processes for the company and web/mobile portfolios to achieve the desired business outcomes.
  • Create and maintain portfolio roadmaps, ensuring they drive best of breed architecture (including security), and align with company’s current and future business needs.
  • Provide oversight over architecture and design across all guest facing technology initiatives.  Collaborate with delivery teams to determine technical direction and approach to system design and implementation.
  • Provide strategic guidance and decision support to IT management and business partners.
  • Stay on top of current and emerging technology trends and best practices.  Evaluate and prototype potential technologies and overall solutions.
  • Provide strong leadership and promote and foster professional development and growth among team members.
  • Provide input to project estimates and ensure they are reasonable and attainable.
  • Manage resources via “dotted lines” as part of the overall architectural strategy.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Come up to speed quickly in complex domains and effectively manage multiple concurrent activities.
  • Understand and comply with established corporate and IT technical standards and methodologies. Use and contribute to company standards and tools.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Math preferred
  • 7+ years of professional experience
  • Strong strategic capabilities with enterprise level foresight and mature judgment. • Solid IT implementation and solutions delivery experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Ability to obtain cooperation and build trust internally and externally.
  • Mature judgment, solid credibility and ethics.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with technology vendors and partners.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with management & peers.
  • Experience managing technical team including interviewing, coaching and developing people and teams.
  • Ability to drive innovation in a practical, actionable way.
  • A solid understanding of software development lifecycle, QA techniques using source code control repositories, and n-tier debugging & testing.
  • Solid experience developing instrumentation strategies for production systems
