Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Shipboard Talent Acquisition Recruiter. This shipboard TA Recruiter is responsible for recruiting best in class talent.  Duties include developing recruitment plans and programs with client groups and recruiting sources.  Requirements include providing excellent candidate experience; strong organizational skills to track and measure activity and the ability to ensure candidates are moved through process in a timely manner.                                               

  • Partners with the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition to develop and implement recruitment plans and local strategies for sourcing direct hire candidates on a global scale. Creates and develops a headhunting plan for attracting talent from within the industry, and maintains an active social media presence. Manages the relationships with key recruiting partners around the globe, and proactively researches new potential recruiting streams.
  • Partners with all operational departments, acting as the primary partner for all direct hire recruitment initiatives. Builds productive relationships with leaders, and ensures staffing levels are maintained as per company needs. Develops and implements recruiting strategies as needed, to attract talent at  a global level by leveraging a number of mediums, including social media and websites to meet company needs. The candidate will be responsible for managing the recruitment of approximately 1000-1500 candidates per year.
  • Responsible for acting as the project manager for the implementation and development of a new Applicant Tracking System, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and that the system meets company needs. Creates and writes all content for the system, and partners with the development team to create design briefs. Provides training to users, and ensures system adoption and compliance. After the initial deployment, the individual will continue to implement the system for all departments, ensuring that bespoke needs are built in. Partners with the development team, to implement system changes and constantly reviews the system to identify new ways the system can be enhanced.
  • Responsible for maintaining relevant recruitment collateral, and ensures that websites, social media and other mediums are kept current. Creates new and engaging content for our recruitment blog, and partners with Marketing and Public Relations to ensure all materials comply with company rules and brand standard requirements.
  • Attends job fairs and career days with our international partner institutions. Attends meetings with partners as directed.


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Discipline/ Major: Business/Human Resources
  • Three years of relevant experience in a fast paced recruiting environment, preferably within the cruise or shipping industry.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Well-developed interviewing skills. Demonstrated experience with web-based systems and recruiting sources, including the internet, social media, warm/cold calling, referrals, events, networking, publications, industry groups/associations, and job fairs. An understanding of the maritime industry is essential.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
