We are seeking a Product Development Manager who will lead the portfolio strategy, product development of a set of our 450+ Operators, # of 2000+ Tours in the #of 33+ ports in the Caribbean as well as Alaska and Europe product development and negotiation. The Product manager is responsible for the portfolio strategy, product design, management of our tour offering to grow revenues and guest satisfaction. This position represents all Carnival Corporation Brands in the Caribbean in terms of negotiations and allocations. It also develops the European excursions program. Product portfolio strategy to serve key guest segments: Design new product, refresh current, Negotiate prices, Secure allocations, Secure preferential shorex allocations agreements in strategic ports. Start up of new ports. He/she is responsible for supplier/partner relations as well as prioritization of shorex exclusivity and preferential agreements aligned with preferential berths in strategic ports of call in the Caribbean. He/She will constantly align with deployment to prioritize shorex product development, assess potential investments to secure exclusivity or preferential allocations for shore excursions product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Product portfolio strategy to serve key guest segments:
- Design new product, refresh current
- Negotiate prices
- Secure allocations
- Secure preferential shorxe allocations agreements in strategic ports
- Start up of new ports
- Supplier relations
Evaluate partnerships/ acquisition needs for transportation
Prioritize shorex exclusivity and preferential agreements aligned with preferential berths in strategic ports of call in the Caribbean
- Align with deployment to prioritize shorex product
- Assess potential acquisition or investments (loans) to secure exclusivity or preferential allocations for shore excursions product
- Analyze the performance of all shore excursion offerings for quality, guest satisfaction and overall impact on the program
- Develop and discuss all “New” shore excursion product for the ports of call, ensuring all offerings are fully validated with the required documentation (certificate of insurance, shore excursion description, pricing, allocations, all pertinent safety certificates); and a full site inspection
- Site inspection of ports. Travelling to port, or ship, as and when needed. Attend Site inspections of all new ports and arrange site inspections
- Attend all pertaining Conferences and Trade Shows to designated port areas
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Business , international business, marketing
- 5-10 years of dynamic business experience in the travel and service industry with great emphasis on product quality
- Excel, Tableau, statistics, business.
- Travel industry certifications, Business
- International experience, business development, Spanish is a plus
