The Manager – Global Air Sourcing Analytics is a critical role within the Global Air Sourcing group. The role will manage the Air Analytics function by designing and developing meaningful dashboards and data visualizations, analysing the results and making recommendations. The role will also support the Global Air Sourcing team by providing data and reports. This role is also responsible for the implementation of improved analytic tools and data structures, as well as the management of efforts related to the development, maintenance (including researching and resolving issues), accuracy, and hygiene of air data.
The Manager – Global Air Sourcing Analytics will partner with IT and cruise line leads on projects associated with the data warehouse (DW) and dashboards, including building a common repository where data is refreshed frequently, and operational teams can access the reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Designs and develops meaningful dashboards and data visualizations by importing data from multiple data sources to support the strategic sourcing efforts of the Global Air Sourcing team. Also, writes ad-hoc queries in SQL to obtain the required data from underlying tables. Independently analyses dashboards, reports, and data to identify opportunities and makes recommendations. Further, track and report on trends. Ensures data integrity prior to distribution.
- Global Air Sourcing Analytics will partner with IT and cruise line leads on projects associated with the data warehouse (DW) and dashboards, including building a common repository where data is refreshed frequently, and operational teams can access the reports, creating a data dictionary and other documentation for all users.
- Assist with cost innovation tracking for the Global Air Sourcing team by creating and/or converting tracking via MS Excel to Tableau or Power BI Dashboards.
- Partner with IT to identify and implement improved analytic tools and data structures, as well as the management of efforts related to the development, maintenance (including researching and resolving issues), accuracy, and hygiene of air data.
- Assist in other areas under the Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing by performing analytics, etc. as needed.
- Participate in the development of short-term and long-term strategic goals in collaboration with the Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing, Director – Global Strategic Sourcing, and Manager – Global Air Sourcing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree preferred, with an undergraduate degree Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related
- 5 – 8 years of experience working with advanced analytics. Air industry experience is highly desired, strategic sourcing and cruise line experience is a plus.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS).
- Deep experience within the entire Tableau ecosystem
- Expertise in Oracle SQL Developer provides this person the ability to browse database objects, run SQL statements, edit and debug PL/SQL statements and run reports.
- GDS knowledge and experience required
- Power BI knowledge a plus
