Job Title:                   Manager, Communication & Events

We are currently seeking a Manager of Employee Communications and Events who will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, creation and distribution of multi-channel employee communications and internal executive communications as well as management of employee events.          

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to guide employee communications strategies aligned with business needs and employee engagement initiatives
  • Craft a wide variety of internal communications including but not limited to C-suite communications, organizational memos, executive talking points, presentations and newsletters.
  • Management of employee events including weekly onsite activities, employee celebrations and company participation in large-scale external events (i.e. corporate runs, charity walks/runs, etc).
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to concept communications and events plans that serve to promote company news and product launches.
  • Support and facilitate key periodic and annual events driven by other areas of the organization.
  • Facilitate a variety of internal video shoots and associated scripting and logistics.
  • Partner with building management to support signage, decorations and messaging throughout headquarters tied to company announcements, celebrations and employee engagement.
  • Management of departmental budget.

Preferred Education:

A Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Communications, Journalism or related field.

Years and Area of Professional Experience:

7 to 10 years of experience in professional communications roles. Experience in internal / employee communications and engagement preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have exceptional writing skills, ability to serve as a stategic advisor and counsel on employee communications issues and objectives, and outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be skilled in writing newsletter articles, speeches, talking points and executive memos effectively utilizing varied tones and styles.
  • Experience in video production and special event execution a plus.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines and willingness to occasionally work off-site and irregular hours.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including strong PowerPoint skills. Photo editing and graphic design skills a plus.
