Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Hotel Technical Systems Manager. Provides support to the Director Hotel Assets, Technical Operations and Hotel Departments. Management assignments include but are not limited to ensuring hotel equipment reliability, tracking for obsolescence and compliance as well as overall performance functionality of the vessel hotel mechanical systems.  

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain inventory configuration of installed equipment onboard assigned vessels.
  • Arrange/perform onboard surveys/inspections on assigned fleet vessels.
  • Provide Critical Analysis of Equipment, prioritizing and categorizing equipment with highest critically and impact to operations.
  • Provide annual budgets for routine maintenance/repairs, replacements and   improvements Find cost effective means for CAPEX installation including, optimizing use of ship’s crew, Riding Teams and Contractors.
  • Responsible for full service to our internal customers (Technical Operation and Hotel Departments) providing technical expertise for new or replacement equipment, providing budget required and project management thru to final execution.
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines by tracking project changes and the effect each change has the schedule and completion date
  • Issue Technical Specifications for equipment onboard CCL ships. Verify the plan updates and revise if needed. Review compliance documentation and update departments on changes to compliance regulations (IMO, SOLAS, Class)
  • Review new technologies and recommend equipment enhancements and improvements for fleet vessels.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operation Managers and Asset Managers if necessary for daily operations during warranty/commissioning period. 
  • Provides budgets, scope for repairs/replacements for all dry dock projects for assigned CCL Vessels. Opens budgets (Capex) receives quotations assess and selects vendors. Attends assigned vessels Dry Docks and Project Manages all assigned projects to the satisfaction of Technical Operations and Hotel Departments.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 10 plus years of professional experience.
  • Strong management skills with proven project management experience.  Knowledge of galley, laundry, pool and RWF equipment. 
  • Mechanical Systems Technical knowledge.
  • Preference would be given to applicants who are experienced in Marine Mechanical Equipment, and have knowledge of USPH requirements.
