Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Hotel Refurbishment Project Lead. The primary focus of the position is to assist the Project Manager for hotel refurbishment projects for the New Builds & Refurbishments department. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the assisting the Project Manager in the development of large-scale projects for the CCL fleet within specifications, budgets and schedules in international shipyards and dry docks involving multicultural engineers and contractors.

Essential Functions:

  • Gathering information for Project Manager relating to the various projects
  • Supporting in preparing bid documents and design/technical specifications
  • Assisting in developing the scope of work required to fully satisfy the stakeholders’ desired project outcome
  • Assisting in developing specifications for refurbishment areas in compliance with the criteria established by the sponsors
  • Organizing checklists for items to be ordered
  • Following up on timelines for individual projects
  • Preparing and distributing reports that provide status updates to all involved departments
  • Taking part in performing onsite surveys and inspections at dry docks or in service
  • Collaborating with contractors and other vendors involved in various projects
  • Leading smaller scale projects in collaboration with Project Managers
  • Managing other administrative functions for Director of Hotel Refurbishments as required
  • Following up on the punch list items and closing of projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Design or Architecture or relevant experience
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to support multiple priorities concurrently
  • The ideal candidate is able to successfully interact with individuals at all management levels and possess a great time management skills
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD
