We are seeking an Employee Relations Coordinator!

Essential Functions

  • Reviews any requests from team members to return from a breach of contract. Liaises with team members department and reviews documentation to investigate employees standing. Breach of contracts include: 
    • Leave of absences
    • Resignations
    • Suspensions 
  • Reviews any requests from team members to return after they have had their contract terminated. Liaises with team members department and reviews documentation to investigate employees standing.
  • Reviews and investigates all appeals from team members regarding decisions made by shipboard disciplinary committees.
  • Reviews security reports and investigations to ensure compliance with CCL policies and regulations. If any concerns are noted reports findings to the Employee Relations Manager.
  • Coordinates with management, other department personnel and hiring agents on hiring decisions and follows up on job offers through to acceptance of position.
  • Provides industry leading hospitality to team members who are in communication with the Shipboard HR team ensuring their concerns are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Enters and updates new hire applicants’ and other employee information in the Crew Personnel System. 
  • Communicate effectively within the department and liaise with other department personnel, shipboard personnel, agents, vendors, business partners, etc.
  • Maintaining integrity of personnel, systems and information contained therein.
  • Coordinate and be actively involved in projects as directed by the Employee Relations Manager.  
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, able to multitask with enthusiasm, proactive, able to work independently in a fast paced environment, strive to build strong business relationships, possess professional verbal and written English skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Advanced Excel a plus
  • Able to coordinate and keep track of multiple activities at the same time without making errors
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Using initiative and independent judgment within established policy and procedural guidelines;
  • Communicating effectively with co-workers, superiors, vendors including public and private organizations and others sufficient to exchange or convey information
  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field preferred
