Job Description:

This position is a key leadership position in support of the Chief Strategy Officer in dual role of supporting corporate strategy and Cunard North America.  This is a unique role requiring a leader to handle a portfolio of responsibilities and projects to drive business results forward.  The individual needs to have the presence to interact with and lead senior leaders across the company.  The individual needs the ability to operate and navigate comfortably in ambiguous environments, the proven capability to structure and frame complex problems and to effectively balance multiple priorities, and outstanding communication and relationship building skills at the executive level.  The position requires very strong analytical capabilities, a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of framing, conceptualizing, analyzing, solving and implementing complex business problems in challenging, fast-paced corporate environments.

 

ROLE NEAR TERM OBJECTIVES:

  • Support program management of corporate strategy activities and direction
  • Lead workstream(s) to drive long-term corporate strategy including revenue growth and commercial strategy
  • Manage cross-brand initiatives for growth including external business development
  • Work closely with senior leaders at Cunard brand to drive targeted initiatives for results

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Effectively leading multiple, simultaneous strategic, operational and/or technology-driven corporate initiatives, both within single business units or functions and across multiple business units or functions
  • Developing and executing end-to-end project plans, including detailed workplan/timeline development, hypothesis generation, analytics design, socialization and implementation planning and support
  • Leading dynamic project teams (small and large) comprised of other Group Strategy & Operations team members and cross-functional personnel from multiple business units around the world
  • Designing and executing financial, operational, technological and process-based analyses to support project work
  • Communicating project status and findings to project teams and executive audiences; influencing executive decision-making across the organization
  • Identifying and prioritizing new, high potential value creating opportunities for the corporation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Top-tier management consulting experience and MBA preferred.
  • Significant management consulting experience with a top management consultancy and top-rated in class with exposure to Fortune 500 clients; generalist experience relevant to the position
  • Demonstrated core management skills – problem definition, workplanning, analytics, solution development, recommendations, executive synthesis and communication, implementation
  • Outstanding leadership track record, significant project leadership and management experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both informal and formal - facilitation and presentation), strong executive presence and experience in advising C-level executives
  • Proven ability to drive change despite internal and external challenges – a self-starter
