We are seeking a Director of Booked Guest E-commerce & Marketing to lead the Marketing & E-commerce strategy for onboard revenue channels sold pre-cruise, as well as through targeted campaigns delivered during the voyage. This role directs three teams focused on growing booked guest revenue via marketing & guest communications, and supporting key operations metrics like online check-in.
- The Pre-Cruise E-commerce & Marketing team is responsible for increasing pre-cruise revenue KPI’s for all onboard revenue categories through web and email channels and leveraging e-commerce merchandising and personalization tactics to grow traffic, sales, and operational metrics.
- The Onboard Targeted Marketing team is responsible for personalized campaigns delivered to each guest via email and the Carnival Hub App to drive revenue & awareness via personalized recommendations for guests during the cruise.
- The Marketing Automation team is responsible for setting up all data needs to support e-commerce marketing, email, and targeted marketing needs. This role will partner with peers to develop targeting criteria, setup automation to feed marketing channels, and report on status of marketing programs after they go live.
Additionally, this role works cross functionally with Cruise Marketing, Revenue Management, Product Development/IT, Operations, Finance, Guest Commerce, and Call Center teams to strategize, plan, execute and create synergies across online and mobile platforms, to grow revenue, improve operational metrics, and improve the guest experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish the revenue forecast for pre-cruise sales & onboard targeted marketing activities responsible for a significant share of total onboard revenue
- Lead an e-commerce web & email team to optimize merchandising, conversion, promotions, and user experience
- This includes testing of new strategies and tactics to improve guest experience, operational metrics, and e-commerce revenue performance
- Create & oversee a robust marketing calendar throughout the year, overseeing execution, scheduling, and management, & reporting of promotional programs to reach KPI’s
- Primary owner & point of contact within the booked guest e-commerce organization for cross functional partners acting as lead to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test Ecommerce initiatives
- Oversees the management of the pre-cruise site, tracking performance against initiatives and campaigns
- Lead A/B testing strategy & report progress on tests
- Transform customer data into actionable insights & marketing opportunities
- Develop 1-1 personalization approach utilizing our behavioral data and creating segment-of-one campaigns utilizing dynamic personalized content on carnival.com across the entire customer journey
- Partner with the Product team in building the technology roadmap and sharing results from new releases
- Provide expertise & training to e-commerce team on current Ecommerce industry best practices
- Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure Ecommerce principles are incorporated
- Less than 25% shipboard travel likely
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in E-commerce or Marketing
- + 8 years of relevant E-commerce experience
- + 4 years of experience creating & managing marketing calendars
- Strong analytics and mastery of agile development
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Flexible and can work in fast paced, matrixed environment

The range for this role’s base salary is $135,000 - $160,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
