Commercial Fuel Manager

Job Description:

Come join our Global Source Team at Carnival Corporation. As the Commercial Fuel Manager, you play a key role in the sourcing, purchasing and management of the Corporation's marine fuel demand. Carnival Corporation, through its various cruise lines, operates over 100 ships worldwide. You will provide strong professional experience and marine fuel expertise to the group’s activity.
Responsibilities:
Will be Team leader for the purchasing of marine fuels
Supervise buyers covering world markets
Will be responsible for creative negotiating on the spot market for marine fuels
Conduct analysis and make recommendations for term supply opportunities
Create bids and follow up
Constantly monitor volatile world oil markets and product prices
Make daily cost saving decisions, manage and direct purchasing functions, and conduct review of suppliers' capabilities
Deal with external and internal stakeholders on a daily basis
Responsible for budget creation, interpretation and review
Preferred qualifications:
Proven successful track record of experience in the marine sector with substantial experience in the marine fuels business
Strong understanding of worldwide marine fuel business
Previous experience purchasing of marine fuel, preferably “hands-on” with a high level of energy
Excellent analysis and decision making skills
Ability to work markets for maximum savings
Excellent communication skills
Creative thinker and solutions oriented, a self starter and high level of imitative
Flexible to have weekend on duty call rotation
Some work related domestic and international travel
